North Suffolk Transitional Employment Program
North Suffolk Mental Health Association, Inc. is a partner of the Metro Boston Recovery Learning Community.
We collaborate in managing the North Suffolk Transitional Employment Program. The program is designed to assist persons served to learn or fine tune employable skills that will help in the overall goal of obtaining competitive employment. The specific needs of each person served, related to re-entering the work force are addressed individually while working with their Supported Employment Specialist. The TE program is a supported environment and the positions range from 2.5-5 hours per week at the Lindemann Center (ELMHC).
The Transitional Employment (TE) program consists of three separate positions: Mail Clerk, Gym Monitor, and Coffee Shop Counter Assistant. Employees earn an hourly stipend for 9 months, which is the term for the employment training period.
